As I let Go

As I Let Go

after waging an internal and external fight
the battle to hold on to

a way of being that doesn’t serve
my heart or yours

surrendering the superfluous

I experience an exhaustion
weighted in my form
relief in authenticity

a quiet peace makes
its presence known

ensuing
grace and rest

Death and Rebirth

Simple

it happens every time
I change

subtle
transition
from who I was

an awakening

a quiet pause

in this moment

a breath
resting
into

the stability of essence

Breathing into Life

A soul-seeking introspection that offers centring to innate wisdom. Through conscious contemplation I explore breath and my discoveries have led me into photography, writing and relationships, becoming intimately connected to all beings, losing and remembering my connection to each moment.

Tearing

Tearing

wet crying
or a ripping apart

alone
I gather
tumbling thoughts
from wounded beliefs

I feel
the density
or vacancy
of my heart’s connection

struggling
yearning for clarity
grieving lost moments

waiting in silence

an answer
quiet and then
a softer deeper wisdom

listening
weeping through and healing

my calloused scars

Do You See Me

Do You See Me

I am what you see
I am not all that you see

You are my shadow and
I am yours

You are my light
And I am yours

Ruth Roberts

I am Not

I am Not

all that I can be

and yet I am
complete

choosing to
engage
explore
gather
evolve

wholeness
beckoning

a persistent
gentle tug

leading me to
fall back
remember
holding its fullness
attuning through essence

settling

I begin anew
